The Libe, Brary, or simply THE Library

I am a college student, and I spend a majority of my time on campus at the library. I LOVE the library. Now studying...not so much. :) At the entrance of the library, there is a large sign that reads "With All Thy Getting Get Understanding." I love this. Learning and developing the mind is important, as is developing character. President Gordon B Hinckley gave a talk titled "With All Thy Getting Get Understanding." Here is a quote from that talk:


"Each day we are made increasingly aware of the fact that life is more than science and mathematics, more than history and literature. There is need for another education, without which the substance of secular learning may lead only to destruction. I refer to the education of the heart, of the conscience, of the character, of the spirit—these indefinable aspects of our personalities which determine so certainly what we are and what we do in our relationships one with another."


What a gem of a quote. Becoming a well-rounded individual is a great goal. That said...it's time for me to "get understanding" of Organic Chemistry.
